OWN-IT is a skate app thats design for skaters to share spot, tricks, photos, and video to prove themselves in the skate world. Using social media, this app gives skater around the world idea’s and insight to new skate spots.
Own - It design core design centers around two main concepts, Exploring the skate world and making making a mark for all to see. The design is tailored to profiles and uploads to help expand and grow the global skate world.
Much like other competative app own-it is also built on an up-vote system. This allows people to vote on the best trick done at any particular location. The more votes the better your video or picture fair in consistant competition with other. Users are also able to upload any location that adds to the skate map. That user is also able to set a trick or combo for it's repected spot.
How does it work? Own-it works as such: Users are to sign up and make an profile with skateboarding related information. From this point users will have access to all posted skate locations as well as current owned spots. In order to challenge or create an challenge for others, you have to video record or take a picture of the perform trick. Users can then give a like or blow the bs whistle that checks any false posts.
All assets are design in adobe illustrator and are based around skate related themes. An modern flat design was chosen as it best allows the user to easily navigate throughout the app and interact with the many features without being overwhelmed.
